寫住「引擎停咗」，或者講嘢冇反應 It says the engine stopped, or nothing happens when you talk

撳選單列個麥克風圖示 → 「重新啟動引擎」（Restart Engine）。 通常幾秒就返到嚟。

最常見嘅原因係上一次嘅引擎冇完全收工，霸住個 port， 新開嗰個入唔到。重新啟動就係為咗清返佢。

Click the microphone icon in the menu bar → Restart Engine. It usually comes back within seconds.

The usual cause is a previous engine that did not shut down cleanly and is still holding the port, so the new one cannot start. Restarting clears it.

出「冇收到聲」 "No sound reaching the mic"

部 Mac 收緊嘅唔係你以為嗰支咪。去 「系統設定 → 聲音 → 輸入」， 講嘢睇下條音量棒郁唔郁；唔郁就揀返正確嗰個輸入裝置。

插咗耳機唔代表 macOS 會自動轉過去 —— 呢個係最常中嘅一種。 另外唔好用藍牙耳機錄：AirPods 呢類裝置會自己做降噪同壓縮， 對通話冇問題，但係對辨識係扣分嘅。內置咪好過。

Your Mac is listening to a different input than you think. Open System Settings → Sound → Input, speak, and watch the level meter. If it does not move, pick the right device.

Plugging in a headset does not always switch macOS over to it — that is the commonest version of this. Also avoid Bluetooth headsets for dictation: AirPods and the like apply their own noise reduction and compression, which is fine for calls and costs you accuracy here. The built-in microphone is better.

打開個 App，但係乜都冇出現 You open the app and nothing appears

Cantalkie 冇 Dock 圖示，佢住喺選單列 —— 螢幕最頂右邊嗰行，揾個麥克風圖示。撳佢就見到成個選單。

🔴 唔好用「強制結束」收工。Cantalkie 開住嘅時候會將 Caps Lock 改做一個對講掣，正常結束會自動改返；強制結束嗰下係唔會俾佢有機會改返嘅， 咁你部機嘅 Caps Lock 會一路唔郁到你重新開機為止。要收工就喺選單度揀「結束」。

Cantalkie has no Dock icon — it lives in the menu bar, top right. Look for the microphone icon and click it.

🔴 Do not quit it with Force Quit. While Cantalkie runs it remaps Caps Lock into a push-to-talk key, and it puts that back when it quits normally. Force Quit gives it no chance to, so Caps Lock stays dead in every app until you restart the Mac. Quit from the menu instead.

打字嗰陣有個手寫板殘影揮之不去 A handwriting panel keeps appearing

唔係 Cantalkie 嚟嘅 —— 係 macOS「顯示／隱藏觸控板手寫」嗰個快速鍵 （預設 ⌃⇧Space）撞咗。一位測試員三步就搞掂：

1. 系統設定 → 鍵盤 → 文字輸入 → 編輯 → 加返「手寫」輸入法
2. 鍵盤 → 鍵盤快速鍵 → 鍵盤 → 「顯示／隱藏觸控板手寫」， 改成一個唔會同你嘅 Cantalkie 對講掣撞嘅組合
3. 撳一次嗰個快速鍵，個殘影就會消失

This is not Cantalkie. It is macOS's own "Show/Hide trackpad Handwriting" shortcut (⌃⇧Space by default) colliding. One tester's three-step fix:

1. System Settings → Keyboard → Text Input → Edit → add the Handwriting input method
2. Keyboard → Keyboard Shortcuts → Keyboard → Show/Hide trackpad Handwriting — change it to something that does not collide with your Cantalkie trigger
3. Press that shortcut once; the panel disappears

我點知自己用緊邊個版本？ Which version am I on?

撳選單列個圖示，選單第一行就係，例如 Cantalkie 1.1.11 (23)。要更新就揀「檢查更新…」。

Click the menu bar icon — the first line of the menu says so, for example Cantalkie 1.1.11 (23). To update, choose 「檢查更新…」.

1.1.11 之前嗰啲版本，第一行淨係得一個時間，冇版本號。

Before 1.1.11 that line showed only a build timestamp, with no version number.
